Jeff Gnass is a freelance photographer based in Juneau, Alaska. He specializes in scenic and natural history photography using large-format cameras for superior quality images. His photos regularly appear throughout the world in books, calendars, magazines, and advertising.

Gnass' stock photo library contains over 80,000 original color transparencies, primarily of North America, and includes scenic landmarks and travel destinations, nature and wildlife, historic sites and the earth sciences. The collection contains extensive coverage of national parks and public lands in all 50 of the United States, and many provinces of Canada. He also has book-length coverage of Patagonia, the wilderness region in southern Chile and Argentina, and coverage of the United Kingdom, mainly the Cotswold district in England, and the Isle of Skye in Scotland.

Gnass realized his niche in life after picking up a large format camera in 1978 and pursuing photography. Though completely self-taught, he has been a guest lecturer at universities and colleges, an instructor at field photo workshops, and has written numerous articles describing his photo techniques and natural light photography. Jeff's perceptions of the natural world are deeply rooted in the outdoor experiences of his childhood in Alaska. His endeavors in photography are guided by a personal intensity and determination to interpret and celebrate the majesty of nature and wild areas.
